Malachi preached to a generation of Israelites much like our generation. There were far more people ready to observe the forms of religious worship than there were people genuinely in awe of God. This last of the Old Testament prophets identified at least four significant areas in which their behavior denied their professions of faith. If we long for a more vital relationship with God marked by joyful worship and obedience, we must know God in all of the grandeur and greatness!
